Christina and Andrew’s Wedding at The Village Club at Lake Success

Christina and Andrew’s Wedding at The Village Club at Lake Success

There’s an old saying that goes, “our universe grants every soul a twin—a reflection of themselves—the kindred spirit – And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other—even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love.” Essentially, there is always someone for us – someone who makes it impossible to tell where we end and they begin. For Christina and Andrew, their twin souls met in high school, and after a first kiss amongst the rows of the Farmingdale movie theatre, Christina realized that Andrew was the person she was meant to love for the rest of her life. Christina and Andrew’s beautiful day at The Village Club at Lake Success was a true celebration of the beautiful love that comes with finding the one your soul is meant to be with, and getting to experience the beginning of something greater was such a privilege for us. In every sentiment exchanged, in every word spoken, we could feel the incredible love that surrounds these two, and we are so happy that we bared witness to the joining of two people who truly can’t live without each other. Congratulations, Christina and Andrew. We know that there will never be two people more tailor made for each other, and we hope you have the most beautiful life together. Here’s to many more years of love, happiness, and movie theatre kisses! Photography | Whitelight Photography DJ | Marc Bauman Events...
Jaime and Kevin’s Wedding at the Hamlet Golf + Country Club

Jaime and Kevin’s Wedding at the Hamlet Golf + Country Club

When you first lock eyes with someone you know you’re meant to be with, the feeling is electric. Suddenly their smile is everything – a bright beam of light, and a strange, familiar warmth – and the way they laugh at your jokes or brush the hair from your face becomes something to look forward to every day. Finding someone who fits into you can be difficult – tiring, even – but the journey is only half the adventure. And for Jaime and Kevin, their adventure was just beginning, in more ways than one. Jaime and Kevin’s love developed slowly – at first with the beeping of sirens as they traveled in opposite directions in their respective police cars – and then, all at once, as their families began to blend and their devotion to each other grew stronger. It was incredible to see the way they looked into each other’s eyes – as if they were the only people in the room. The amount of respect and admiration that flows between them is explosive, and each second spent with them revealed the deep connection they shared. It was a true honor to be able to capture them just as they are: in love, in bliss, and truly happy. Congratulations to these two amazing people! We were so honored to be part of your super celebration at The Hamlet Golf + Country Club, and we want to thank you for keeping us safe and putting yourselves at risk to protect the citizens of New York every single day of your lives. We can’t wait to see what other adventures you and your family goes on together! Photography...
Five Videography Myths, Debunked!

Five Videography Myths, Debunked!

Wedding planning is so exhausting, and it can seem like a ton of work for one whirlwind of a day – believe us, we get it! But why spend time planning the perfect party if you won’t get to relive the words of wisdom your friends and family share exactly as they were spoken!? Yes, photos are incredible, and we work with tons of amazing professionals on your special day, but video preserves the visual elements, the rollercoaster of emotions, and the soundtrack to your first day as Mr. and Mrs. in a way photography can’t possible capture. Over the years, we’ve encountered hundreds of misconceptions about what we do as videographers, so we thought it might be fun to interview John Bilski, the owner and creative force behind Bilski Productions, and ask him to debunk a few of the myths that seem to hold couples back from choosing to have a video team on their wedding day! Kaitlyn Ferris Photography Myth 1: VIDEOGRAPHERS ARE OBTRUSIVE, AND WILL ONLY GET IN THE WAY. “Once upon a time, videographers would be in your way at seemingly every step you took, but not anymore! We make sure to blend into the background as much as possible during your special moments (such as the ceremony, the speeches, and your first dance) by tweaking the way things used to be done. Now, we use off-camera lighting to preserve the ambience of the room and utilize longer lenses, which allow us to keep our distance during those intimate moments with your new spouse. Our goal is to capture as many natural moments as possible, not ruin the special seconds you share with your favorite people!”...
Kathryn and Andrew’s Wedding at Carlyle on the Green

Kathryn and Andrew’s Wedding at Carlyle on the Green

“So everybody, have you heard the news? Katie and Andrew are married!” Every time we capture a couple’s wedding day, there’s always something that deeply moves us, whether it’s their story, their families, or the way they love each other.  With Kathryn and Andrew, that special something was the way they laughed, cried, and embraced each other with such a fervor, we couldn’t help but stand back in awe. Their perfectly executed autumn wedding was stunning – with real trees as centerpieces and deep reds, oranges, and yellow at every turn – but to us, it felt like more than just decorations that filled each nook and cranny of Carlyle on the Green; it was a symbol of something greater. It has been said that, as a season, autumn is actually the beginning – the first. And for these two, their autumn represents the first time they stepped into the light, with their friends and families as witnesses, as husband and wife. And for us, being part of such a profound first was an absolute honor. Congratulations, Kathryn and Andrew! We wish you love, happiness, and an entire season of firsts for the rest of your lives.
