Kerry and Michael’s Wedding at Giorgio’s

Kerry and Michael’s Wedding at Giorgio’s

When we’re young, we dream of the people we’ll eventually fall in love with. The one who will nurture our faults and fill them with gold, the one who will help us up when we fall. When we think of that person, we see them as an extension of us; someone who won’t hesitate to help us grow and learn alongside us. Those dreams of that perfect person carry us through life and, if we’re lucky, bring us to their doorstep. Kerry’s dad put it perfectly: Kerry is the type of girl who doesn’t hesitate to bolt outside and dance in the rain. So when she met Michael, it was as if he had been there forever – a piece of her she hadn’t known she was missing. Between them, ten years went by in the blink of an eye, guiding them to the altar where they’d eventually get married. It was incredible to see how in love Kerry and Michael are, and the energy that coursed between them was brighter than we could have ever imagined. Their day at Giorgio’s Caterers was filled with love, whimsy, and a little magic, and we were so lucky to be there to experience it all. Congratulations, Kerry and Michael! We hope you have the most beautiful lives together, and we are so thankful that we were able to be there to witness the start of it. Photography | Ken Hild Photography DJ | Barattini...
Elizabeth and Thomas’ Wedding at Carlyle on the Green

Elizabeth and Thomas’ Wedding at Carlyle on the Green

There’s nothing better than a love on fire; the kind that feels so big and so paramount, you can’t help but scream it from the rooftop. For every challenging moment we face in life, love somehow finds a way to grow bigger. It’s that growth – within love and within ourselves – that gives us a stunning start to forever. For Liz + Thomas, pursuing a friendship led to them falling in love – and we’re not the least bit surprised. The vibrant, explosive kind of love these two seem to share holds no bounds, propelling them through life with the comfort and security only your best friend can provide. Liz + Thomas’ wedding day at Carlyle on the Green was more than just a celebration of their incredible love – it was a promise to one another to always find forever in each other’s arms, no matter what. Thomas’ beautiful letter to Liz highlighted the many reasons why he would always love her, and as she read Thomas’ stunning words, you could see the twinkle in her eye intensify. One could only hope to find the kind of sweetness that Liz and Thomas will always share, and we were so honored to be there to witness the start of their forever. Congratulations, Liz + Thomas! Five Videography Myths, Debunked!

Five Videography Myths, Debunked!

Wedding planning is so exhausting, and it can seem like a ton of work for one whirlwind of a day – believe us, we get it! But why spend time planning the perfect party if you won’t get to relive the words of wisdom your friends and family share exactly as they were spoken!? Yes, photos are incredible, and we work with tons of amazing professionals on your special day, but video preserves the visual elements, the rollercoaster of emotions, and the soundtrack to your first day as Mr. and Mrs. in a way photography can’t possible capture. Over the years, we’ve encountered hundreds of misconceptions about what we do as videographers, so we thought it might be fun to interview John Bilski, the owner and creative force behind Bilski Productions, and ask him to debunk a few of the myths that seem to hold couples back from choosing to have a video team on their wedding day! Kaitlyn Ferris Photography Myth 1: VIDEOGRAPHERS ARE OBTRUSIVE, AND WILL ONLY GET IN THE WAY. “Once upon a time, videographers would be in your way at seemingly every step you took, but not anymore! We make sure to blend into the background as much as possible during your special moments (such as the ceremony, the speeches, and your first dance) by tweaking the way things used to be done. Now, we use off-camera lighting to preserve the ambience of the room and utilize longer lenses, which allow us to keep our distance during those intimate moments with your new spouse. Our goal is to capture as many natural moments as possible, not ruin the special seconds you share with your favorite people!”...
Kathryn and Andrew’s Wedding at Carlyle on the Green

Kathryn and Andrew’s Wedding at Carlyle on the Green

“So everybody, have you heard the news? Katie and Andrew are married!” Every time we capture a couple’s wedding day, there’s always something that deeply moves us, whether it’s their story, their families, or the way they love each other.  With Kathryn and Andrew, that special something was the way they laughed, cried, and embraced each other with such a fervor, we couldn’t help but stand back in awe. Their perfectly executed autumn wedding was stunning – with real trees as centerpieces and deep reds, oranges, and yellow at every turn – but to us, it felt like more than just decorations that filled each nook and cranny of Carlyle on the Green; it was a symbol of something greater. It has been said that, as a season, autumn is actually the beginning – the first. And for these two, their autumn represents the first time they stepped into the light, with their friends and families as witnesses, as husband and wife. And for us, being part of such a profound first was an absolute honor. Congratulations, Kathryn and Andrew! We wish you love, happiness, and an entire season of firsts for the rest of your lives. Victoria and Marco’s Wedding at Vanderbilt Mansion

Victoria and Marco’s Wedding at Vanderbilt Mansion

Vicki and Marco share one very special connection: the gift of language. When Vicki decided she wanted to learn Spanish, she took an enormous leap of faith and left her home on a journey that would set in motion the course of her life – to meet her love, Marco. After a chance encounter and a shared Guatemalan connection through a dangling chain on Vicki’s keys, Vicki and Marco became just that – Vicki and Marco. And in that moment, the language of love and Spanish merged, creating the perfect relationship we were honored to capture that warm, August day. From a gorgeous classic car to the lanterns that hung from the outdoor tent, Vicki and Marco’s wedding was an ethereal night overflowing with family, friends, and most of all, love for each other. Vicki’s stunning vintage-style gown and the way Marco looked at her as she floated down the aisle set the tone for the entire day, and as we watched them dance, and laugh, and smile together, we realized that we really do have the best jobs in the world. In an intimate letter to Vicki, Marco said, “I get to describe you with two words no other person on this planet can – my wife.” And we couldn’t agree with that sentiment more. Here’s to a one of a kind love! Congratulations! Photography | Lennon Photo DJ | Tommy’s Tunes Venue | Vanderbilt Mansion...
